Hi friends! As of today, we have 614 posts in our archives. Um. Whoa. Das a lot, yo.

As much as I’ve worked on TNC’s layout to make it easier to navigate and find old posts, it still means that there are a zillion (y’know, give or take) posts that no one ever sees. To help, I compiled 15 of the most popular posts we’ve ever written about “blogging tips and advice” so that they’re easy for you to find and read. Woo! I so hope they’re helpful for you and that there are posts in here that you’ve never seen before. It’s also fun to look back on some OLD posts I wrote and still find them useful. I was even quirkier back in the day (ha!). 😉
Enjoy, peeps! 🙂

WOW. I love 62 posts on my blog haha. I love how this round-up is organized by subject! (rather than your 15 all time popular posts) I’d love to know more about e-mail lists! I enjoyed what you wrote about why you should have one and the one person who might not need it. Initially I thought I didn’t need one (even after reading your post), but then I thought some more about how you said it’s the only thing you have complete control over. I glanced over that because I’m not really that worried about social media, but I realized that I’m totally reliant on Bloglovin’. I was reminded of how Tumblr blocked Bloglovin’ and that was the reason I switched to Blogger (Tumblr has since unblocked Bloglovin’ but I’m still using Blogger). Anyways, I’m considering starting an e-mail list. But I don’t want it to be like posts being sent directly to their inbox when they’re published, because that’s redundant (or is it?). I was thinking maybe along the lines of monthly emails or something, with a round-up of recent posts at the end. Which means I can’t just use the “follow by email” widget and will have to actually start a proper e-mail list I suppose. tl;dr How do you start your e-mail list? (like, a very practical instruction–what to use, how to create a subscription form for people to sign up, etc) -Audrey | Brunch at Audrey’s
Hi Audrey! I’m glad that post about email lists got you thinking! That’s a great point about how Bloglovin’ has control over our blogs, too. They’re one of my top referring sites, so if they kicked me off or something, that would be a big hit. Thanks for pointing that out and helping me see how an email list is even MORE important. Gah!
Answering your question would be best fit for a blog post, so I’m going to work on that this week. Stay tuned! 🙂
Very much looking forward to it, thank you!

Awesome! My main problem with getting people to see my blog is that I’m Dutch and I don’t know if I should blog in English, I’m afraid I’ll make to many mistakes and that it really makes my blog look unproffesional. But on the other hand, the Netherlands is a very small country, not a lot of people around the world speak Dutch.
You’re my life/blogging guru <3
