Hi friends! It’s almost Friday and I’m pretty excited, can you tell? Today marks at least the third time I’ve danced in a style post — my way of relieving the awkwardness of being a wannabe model for 20 minutes. I’m getting pretty good at dancing with myself, but then again I’m no stranger to busting a move when I’m home alone. It’s very likely that Monja now thinks all humans are insane. Or maybe just me. You’ll have to ask him.

Anywho, I paired this flowy (and super soft!) polka dot skirt with one of my ol’ favorite business shirts. I also am pretty in love with these cut-out oxfords and will probably end up buying more! They’re super comfy.
I brought Monja along because I clearly can’t spend an hour away from him. That was supposed to be a joke, but come to think of it, I went to a drive-in movie theatre a few days ago and Monja came along, too. I didn’t know drive-in theaters were still a thing, but I’m glad they are because it was really fun! We just put the back seats down and turned the car into a little hang-out spot. I didn’t know how Monja would act, especially since you’re supposed to watch two movies in a row, but he just sat at our feet and slept. Sometimes it looked like he was watching, too, because he’d stare at the screen — it was seriously adorable.
Now back to this photo — we were having a moment, can you tell?

My friend Naadine over at Great Over Good took these photos because she’s kind of the best. I love this gallery wall in her studio!

Shirt: Uniqlo Japan | Skirt: Forever 21 | Shoes: Rollie Derby Side-Cut

Where was the drive in and I wonder if they have it in winter as I would love to do it when we are home for Christmas!
It was called Vineland Drive In! I think it was in the City of Industry, about 40-ish minutes from where I live in Laguna Hills. There’s one that’s closer in Riverside though! But we didn’t go there because they don’t allow dogs haha. #obsessed.
I love this outfit and I’m obsessed with the shoes!
Thanks Kati! 🙂
Great outfit, it’s fun and I think you could wear it to work or on a casual weekend. I especially love the skirt with the pokadots. Sometimes I think my pup watches TV with us, but I’m sure it’s just a blur of black and white images for him. Still it’s cute
Thanks Ursula! haha you’re probably right! I heard there’s a TV channel for dogs now, too. I haven’t seen it, but sounds interesting!
I love your sense of style!
Thank you Brittany! 🙂
I love midi skirts. This look is so retro, I love it!

Thank you Lyndsay! 🙂
I am OBSESSED with this outfit. I need that skirt!
Thanks Jess!! Let’s be twins 😀
I love this look! And those shoes are fantastic. Love the cutouts! 🙂 I was laughing at your comment about Monja thinking humans are insane because of your dancing. When I clean the kitchen I like to blast the Mamma Mia soundtrack and other music that most people think of as being obnoxious and dance around the kitchen. The first time Mina saw me do that, when Dancing Queen came to an end I looked at her and she seriously had this look on her face that said, “WTF?” It was cute!
Thank you Crystal! HAHA I love that story. Monja gives me many WTF looks, too haha!
I love that outfit! I would have never thought to pair those two things together, but I’m glad you did!
Thank you Kenzie!! 🙂
You are too cute! I dig the dancing in every style post. Makes me smile so big. Like this –> 😀
I definitely have to stop by Great over Good on my next trip to California.
haha I’m glad you like it! 🙂 And yes, you totally should. Naadine, the girl who runs it, is dynamite.
I love those shoes!

Thanks girl! You do the same. 🙂
I can’t decide what I love more: your style combination, your shoes or the gallery wall 😀 Oh, and I really love the color of your shoes!
Thank you Isa! Isn’t that gallery wall neat?
I love the combination the the shirt and skirt, you look so stylish but casual at the same time! Have a great weekend! x
Thank you Sarah! I hope you have a great weekend, too. 🙂

I love it too!! Haha I felt pretty proud when I thought of this one!
Love this outfit! I’ve been looking for a shirt like that for a while. No luck yet, but I will find one!

Cute outfit! That gives me a few ideas on how to recreate the look.
